【摘要】:Thisspecificationsetsforthminimumstandardrequirementsforuseinlocalcodesandordinancesrelatingtopublic,multi-family,residential,andcommercialoutdoorplayareasorzonesandtheirenvironments.Thisspecificationdoesnothavetheeffectoflaw,norisitintendedtosupersedelocalcodesandordinancesofamorerestrictivenature.Playgroundsthatintentionallyincorporatewaterintotheplayareaareexemptfromthisspecification.1.1Thisspecificationprovidestherecommendedminimumrequirementsfordenotingvarioustypesoffences/barriersfortheprotectionofchildren''soutdoorplayspacesinpublic,commercial,andmulti-familyresidentialuselocations.Thisspecificationexcludesindividualsinglefamilyresidentialuseplayequipmentlocations.Interiorfenceslocatedinaplayareathathasaperimeterfenceestablishedshallonlyhavetocomplywiththelatchheightrequirementindicatedin7.6.2.1.2Thisspecificationprovidesforthesafetyofoccupantsinplayareasorzonesasitpertainstovehicularintrusionaswellasotherparticipantintrusion,andforchildrencontainmentorentry/exit.Thisspecificationhastheintenttoalsokeepchildreninsideapredeterminedareainanefforttoenhancesupervision;tokeepchildrenfromrunningoutoftheareaintowaterandotherhazards;tominimizethelikelihoodoffaciallacerationsonlowgateandfencehardware;tominimizethelikelihoodofabduction;andtorestrictaccesstorailroads,highways,roads,andothersuchhazards.1.3Thisspecificationdoesnotchoosetheproductcomponentsforthefencesystem,thechoiceofwhichshouldbemadebytheoperatorsoftheplayspaceandtheirspecificationwritersordraftersbasedupontheirdeterminationofthemeritsoftheproductsthatcouldbeused.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisspecificationdoesnotpurporttoaddresstheaspectofsafetywithinaplayareaorzone.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisspecificationtoestablishappropriatesafetypracticesasrelatedtotheplayareaanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.
