【摘要】:Thispracticecoversthepreparation,handling,testing,andprocedureforusingradiochromicliquiddosimetrysystemsofradiochromicdyesolutionsheldinsealedorcappedcontainers(forexample,ampoules,vials)andthespectrophotometricorphotometricreadoutequipmentformeasuringabsorbeddoseinmaterialsirradiatedbyphotonsandelectronsintermsofabsorbeddoseinwater.Thispracticeappliestoradiochromicliquiddosimetersolutionsthatcanbeusedwithinpartorallofthespecifiedrangesasfollows:Theabsorbeddoserangeisfrom0.5to40000Gyforphotonsandelectrons.Theabsorbeddoserateisfrom10to10Gy/s.Theradiationenergyrangeforphotonsisfrom1to20MeV.Theradiationenergyrangeforelectronsisfrom0.01to20MeV.Note1—Sincelow-energyelectrons,suchas0.01MeV,maynotpenetratethecontainerofthesolution,thesolutionsmaybeusedinastirredopenbeakerwiththeelectronsenteringthesolutionsdirectly(1).Theirradiationtemperaturerangeisfrom-40to+60℃.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappro-priatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplica-bilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
